With the release of NEET Admit Card 2018 on April 18 by Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE), all medical aspirants have put everything into their preparation. 13 lakh and 36 thousand candidates have been estimated to register for NEET examination this year. Last year there were 11 lakh and 55 thousand candidates. It means that the number of candidates shoots up every year.
There are only 66000 medical seats across the country. According to an estimate, only 4 out of 100 will get admission to MBBS/ BDS courses this year. Out of this available number of seats, 35000 are meant for government and 25000 thousand for private medical colleges. Private Medical colleges also consider NEET score of candidates for admission to MBBS/ BDS courses. The CBSE will conduct the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in the session 2018-19 on Sunday, May 6, 2018.
The NEET exam was conducted on May 5, 2013 in English and Hindi for the first time. Later Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Odia languages were added in 2017.
